Unfortunately racing is cancelled tonight.

Due to the inclement weather and dangerous conditions we are going to cancel the racing tonight (June 17th)

The park staff in Elbow Valley have indicated that it is not expected to improve and it is currently much worse in the Elbow Valley than it is in Calgary.

For these reasons unfortunately we have to cancel the race tonight. We will see everyone next week for the TT at Woodland Road.

For sure a re-schedule would be nice. I would like to do at least one RR for the C4, not just suffer fest TTs.

Phew. Now I don't feel like such a wimp.

Good call. I managed to lay my bike down at low speed on the way home from work. Don't wanna do that at 40+. ('Course that might just underline my exceptional handling skills, but never mind.)

I did drive out there and it was totally socked in well before I got to Bragg Creek and was raining buckets. On my way back it looked better to the east so i turned around and went back to Elbow Falls. It was 6 degrees, windy, and raining somewhere between a firehose and a waterfall. i think I saw a duck trying to climb a tree to keep from drowning. Anyway, it wasn't even fun to be driving in it much less riding. i will try to reschedule this one I think as we have to get some road races in and I was really looking forward to this course. Thanks to Brad barron for calling the parks people and getting their input and letting me know. See you all next week.
